a little soccer rant

all officially starts today. Its the first Champions League match day, and its about half an hour to kick off. Rosenborg, my team for those of you not in the know, is playing Chelsea - an away match at Stamford Brigde - and the butterflies in my stomach seem to have moved from a ballet dance style to more salsa like craziness. People say come on! its Chelsea you cant expect much, some people even say you can expect much, you can expect a big loss. For me that is exactly why it matters, beating a team like Chelsea will feel so damn great, that a loss will feel equally horrible. Not that thats going to happen. Last week was a horrific one, in the two things that matter in life; soccer and politics, so fingers crossed my luck has changed. And now im off to put on the only uniform I will ever be comfortable wearing; my jersey and scarf.
but before i go - in other news;

  • - yesterday i made carrot cake
  • - my dream is soon becoming reality
  • - windows are the new doors

etsy

i like to think of myself as someone with a creative mind, but sadly lacking the hands-on artistic skills required to put my ideas into life. so imagine the thrill when, the other day, i came across etsy.com - there i can purchase the creative craftsmanship of those more capable at a really good price. like these cute paris pendants from Yaslani.

taken by trees

Coming out of stockholm, Taken by Trees debut album Open Field has certainly lived up to its hype. Victoria Bergsmans voice, former Concretes vocalist, is magically fragile, yet cheerful. Have a listen here.
