the world in vogue

the picture is published in the new book "the world in vogue", and while there certainly is more provocative fashion photography out there, this one i cannot decide upon. on the one hand i find it almost breathtakingly beautiful, on the other it just feels... well, plain wrong, for the lack of better words. besides, i will never be much of a louis vuitton fan - and seeing their leather on a cute elephant certainly does nothing to change that, but damn - how cute!

there are too many entries in the WNYC soundcheck 'fiery furnaces: the end is near' video competition for me to have watched them all, still i'm pretty confident this is my favourite.

morten traavik opens his exhibition 'miss landmine cambodia: everbody has the right to be beautiful' in olso today. it's an important and inspiring project which was censored at the 12th hour by the cambodian government. well worth checking out if you ask me.
